COMING EVENTS

Today,  10:00 a.m.   MCC INTERNATIONAL BIKE TO

CHURCH SUNDAY.  Parade to the church and share a little

about your transportation mode. Jordan Penner, MCC worker

from Denver, will sharing in the worship service.  After worship

there will be a pulled pork sandwich lunch.  There will be no

Sunday school.  The offering will go for 3 MCC International

Education projects including refugee kindergarten children in

Lebanon, Venezuela refugees in South America, and technical

school training for young adults in India.

 

Wednesday, 2:00 p.m.  Deacons Meeting.

NEWS AND NOTES

TURPIN HIGH SCHOOL BACCALAUREATE service will

be on May 15, 7:00 p.m., in the Turpin school theater room.

 

TURPIN HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION program will be on

Saturday, May 18, 10:00 a.m. at the school football field.

 

MEMORIAL DAY service will be held on May 27, 11:00 a.m., at the Turpin Mennonite Church cemetery to remember loved ones who have passed away.

 

VOLUNTEER needed  to prepare and run the sanctuary

computer once a month during the worship service starting in

June. See Pastor Terry if interested.  Training available!

 

SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERINGS  for the March through May

quarter will be to be to help sponsor the Turpin End of School

Play Day by providing bottled water and T-shirts for the Pre-

Kindergarten - 6th grade children.  Our church name will be

printed on the back of the T-shirts!

TURPIN COMMUNITY JOINT CHURCH RETREAT AND WORSHIP at Camp Gibson on August 17-18.  It will include Saturday evening meal, camfire singing, overnight sleeping for those interested, Sunday breakfast, joint worship service,      smorgasboard dinner by the camp chef, water slide and swimming.  No services at Turpin churches on August 18. An alternative worship service for those not able to to to Camp Gibson will be held at the Turpin Senior Center at 11:00 a.m.

 

HARVEST MISSION CELEBRATION will be on September 8 with Austin Regier’s Family giving a musical concert

 

CASSETTE RECORDINGS of worship services will be done if

you request it ahead of time from the Sound Person or Pastor.

A cassette player will be available to play the cassette tape.

 

PRAYER CHAIN:  If you would like to put a friend on the

prayer chain, please get permission from that person or a family

member to do so.
