NEWS AND NOTES

TURPIN FOOD PANTRY serves the Turpin area providing food for people with financial strains. It is supported by the Turpin Churches and community. For 2017, the Pantry served 263 families(593 adults, 510 children). They received donations of $10,208.00 and expenses of $9564.00. Our offering of $2133.00 on January 14 goes to support the Pantry for 2018.

SARAH ROBERTS, daughter of Gary and Sherri Riffe, will be speaking at the Turpin United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 4, 3:00 p.m. Sarah is an author and director of Womens Ministry in Athens, Georgia. The Turpin UMC Praise Band will also be leading songs.

SALT is a international service program of Mennonite Central Committee for young adults to take chances, make mistakes, get messy, be challenged, learn some things, teach some things while living for a year somewhere where you never dreamed you’d go.

Salt positions are now available but the deadline to sign up is February 15. Check it out at salt.mcc.org.

SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERINGS for the Winter Quarter will go for College Student Care packages.
