NEWS AND NOTES

The Adult Study/Discussion group will have a spring break this week, and will not meet this coming Wednesday night. We will resume our series on Philip Yancey’s Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? on Wednesday March 17^th with a consideration of “How to Pray”.

Start planning now! The 2010 Annual Conference of the Western District Conference will be held July 9-11, 2010 at the Lakeview Camp and Conference Center in Waxahachie, Texas (south of Dallas, www.lakeviewcamp.net). Sessions will be held for both adults and youth!

The pastor will be in Newton this coming Wednesday for a gathering of the western Kansas/western Oklahoma pastor peer group.

From Jeff Wintermote: You are invited to a Soup and Pie Fundraiser Dinner at Trinity Mennonite Church; Hillsboro, Kansas on Fri. March 19 from 5-7 pm.  Chili, Chicken Noodle, & Potato Soups, and Homemade Pies will be served for donations towards building a church in Nahontai, Thailand. All donations will go towards purchasing building materials.
