Today, 3:00 p.m.  The Southwest Symphonic Orchestra will be giving a concert at the Liberal Senior Citizens Center,             (701 N. Grant Ave.)   Ice Cream social after concert!

No Friends in Jesus this week.  Fall Break!

 

Saturday, 11:00 a.m.  Turpin Food Pantry Board meeting. Pantry will be open to serve the community from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

 

Next Sunday, 11:30 a.m. CHURCH Nominating Party for all after Sunday school, with a meal provided by the Nominating Committee.  Help discern church officers for 2018! A sample Nomination form and a preference form will be in your bulletin today and sent out by email.  Please review the Nomination form in preparation for next Sunday.  Please fill out the Preference form and bring with you next Sunday.

GRANDMOTHER/BABY shower on Monday, October 23 - 6:00 pm at Bisteca, Liberal, KS - for Rhonda Hodges to celebrate the upcoming birth of Adam and Mandy's first child.

 

HARVEST MISSION SUNDAY will be on November 5.  Guest

speaker will be Cleo Koop, Disaster Management Program

Director at Hesston College.   His message: “NOAH…Was A

Disaster Manager!”  Plan an interesting Sunday school time

with Cleo in the sanctuary.    Plan for a carry-in meal at noon.

 

THE MENNONITE magazine group subscription will renew on December 1.  If you are receiving The Mennonite and wish to continue, there is nothing to do.  If you are receiving The Mennonite and prefer not to receive it, please let Dori know before December 1.  If you would like to receive The Mennonite magazine, please ask Dori to add your name to the group subscription.  The subscription is $37.00 per year.

MENNONITE CENTRAL COMMITTEE is responding to disasters around the world and is running low on relief kits and comforters.  The goal is to ship 83,000 relief kits by March and 7000 comforters by November 2018.  Items or donations can be sent to MCC, 121 E. 30th St., North Newton, KS 67117.
