Rebekah York is the daughter of Mike and Kris York, who have been missionaries in Romania for the last 25 years.  Rebekah moved back to the United States 7 years ago, graduated college and then graduated from the Mennonite Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana in 2018 with a masters in peace studies and theology.  Bekah has been called to accept a position at the Mennonite Biblical Seminary of Colombia in Bogota and will be training people to spread the word of God and also the peace message that is needed badly in Colombia.

Colombia is the second largest country in South America with a population of nearly 50 million. After suffering through more than 50 years of an internal protracted conflict, peace accords were finally signed in 2016 in the hopes of moving Colombia away from violence and toward reconciliation, stability, and economic growth.

The latest financial update from MMN is that we have received $17,960 and garnered commitments for $10,446/ year, for a total of $40,529 for Bekah’s three year term.  Praise God for what God has already done!  This brings us to about 35% of the total needed commitments before she can start her term.  Thus, we are still looking for $77,471 in commitments.
